You are so right. I too love many of the old hymns (but not all of them) and I love the new songs (but not all of them)!!! Have you heard any of Keith Getty's songs? He wrote "In Christ Alone" and many other "new" hymns that I think will last a long time--they are theologically firm and easy to learn--that makes for great classic songs.
