Getting Right With God - The Fall

Numbers 12:3

(Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.)

WHO TOLD

Genesis 3:6 ESV

The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful, and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.

1 John 2:15-16

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father but are from this world.

YOU AND ME TOO

THE REAL ISSUE

Genesis 3:4-5

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

“Helping People Find Their Way Back to God”

Genesis 4:8b

Cain attacked his brother, Abel, and killed him.

GETTING RIGHT WITH GOD MEANS ACCEPTING AND ADMITTING OUR OWN SIN

Numbers 12:3

SHOULD WE BLAME IT ON EVE

COMMUNION

1 Corinthians 10:12-17

If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 1The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

So, my dear friends, flee from the worship of idols. You are reasonable people. Decide for yourselves if what I am saying is true.

When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing that we are one body.
